Sky Q - anyone got one
|
Submitted interest a few months ago and recently got the option to order one. Not sure if the opportunity is limited or not. Decent idea but they wanted £150 for installation and an extra £40 a month which is too lumpy. Anyone got it and whats your opinion on it if you have.

Spoke to the sky bloke in Romford, he offered it for £40 a month cheaper than my package, and £99 installation

I saw the advert last night. Isn't Sammy Davis jr's accompanying singing wonderful?

It's not available to general public yet i don't think. Being trialed by staff living in different areas.

So other than the fact it's been offered to two members of the public on this thread, you think it isn't available to the general public?

It's a good system, but not if you have 4 boxes, as Sky Q only allows 3 separate TV's simultaneously.

IWTO is suggesting it is being trialled by staff only, if Sky are now contacting members of the public to arrange installation that would suggest it is now available to them wouldn't it?

Ditcher - extra £40 a month seems excessive, are you adding channels ?

It will be installed to staff members only for the first couple of months in case of an teething problems. General public can register an interest and should expect to receive it by May

No extra channels just the one device. The initial page said "from" £10 a month extra. Then went through to upgrade and £40 appeared on the order. I do have all channels except movies + fibre broadband so it's not because I have the basic package.
